How does it work?

Example for a small garden up to 100msq with no significant complications and within !5 miles of Winchester

1.   I will send you some information about style ideas and send some questions to help you think about what you want from the garden. 

2.   First meeting (allow two hours) – You tell me what you would like and we discuss possiblities 

3.  I will survey smaller gardens  normally with an assistant  (up to 3 hours). I will then draw and send you a scale plan which will show what space is available for different aspects of the design.  First payment, £150. 
4.  This is one of the two steps which requires the most creativity. Most people know what they want from their garden, and working out how to fulfil  those wishes require thought and research.  For example a beautiful space with all year round interest with a patio to sit peacefully in the sun and space for children to run around .  I will normally produce two sketch ideas with different approaches to your space. We will meet to discuss what you like and amend as necessary.  Second payment, £150

 5. Letter to you confirming what you would like and the kind of design you want, with terms and conditions asking you to confirm whether you want to go ahead.
6.   Once you have confirmed you want to go ahead I will draw and send you a scale design plan. Includes patios, steps, trees and major plants and planting areas, as well as possible materials. Third payment £150.
7.    Payment by bank transfer within 14 days.

Larger and more complicated gardens will take longer

Costs

• £450 for small gardens up to 100 msq
• £700 for gardens 100 - 200 msq

Negotiable for larger gardens
